Lily White: Mediterranean dishes & lovely decor in Buckhead
Lily White is a new Mediterranean restaurant that calls Buckhead home. It features Persion and Middle Eastern-inspired dishes, such as a variety of mezzes -- think hummus, labneh, tzatziki -- and entrees where open flame-grilled meat is the star. We’re talking multiple cuts of lamb and several different kinds of kabobs, although seafood and vegetarian options are also available.
The restaurant also boasts a fun drink menu and a late-night appetizer menu, since it is open until 1 a.m. during the week and 2 a.m. on the weekends. Lily White is a great place for gatherings, whether you’re celebrating a milestone with your closest friends or need to host a large networking event.
WHY GO:
Because you want Mediterranean fare in Buckhead
And in a Goldielocks setting -- not too fancy, not too casual, just right
THE VIBE:
Sleek & modern
Fun! The walls are decked with Instagram-worthy murals and a neon sign
DRINK THIS:
The Lily White Mule: Hennessy cognac, ginger syrup, and lime, topped with sparkling wine and served in a copper coupe
The Funky (old) Fashioned: Four Roses bourbon, Havana & Hide bitters, served in a smoked glass and poured table-side
START WITH THIS:
Try one of the mezze dishes: A selection of small appetizers traditionally served in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean regions
The hummus and the mirza ghasemi (smoked eggplant) were excellent -- and this is coming from a girl who doesn’t usually like eggplant!
The lamb bites are another highlight: They come 3 to a plate and are perfect for sharing
THEN EAT THIS:
The chicken kabob was divine! The chicken is marinated in saffron, so it’s really flavorful, and served with barberry rice
The short rib: Prepared in a pomegranate demi-glace and served with the most delicious orzo and roasted root vegetables
Our server also recommended the chicken schnitzel and the lamb chops, but my husband and I didn’t have enough room for all that deliciousness
