New Tastes Tuesday: Cypress Street Pint & Plate

It’s no secret that Cypress is one of my very favorite places to eat, drink, and hang out in Atlanta. The atmosphere is just casual enough, yet the menu is just refined enough for a perfect evening. Which is why I made Cypress the subject of my inaugural TasteMade video:

Cypress already changes its menu seasonally, but with a new chef running the kitchen, Matt, they’ve added a few more items to reel you in with.
Pork schnitzel with German potato salad

Vegetable fritto misto: Lightly fried (gluten-free!) veggies with lemon dill sauce
Georgia hot brown: Roasted turkey over toast with pimento cheese sauce, tomato, bacon, fried egg (brunch item)
There are a few new specials as well, like the “6 buck chuck:” A double stack burger, Chuck (Norris, duh!) sauce, caramelized onions, pickles, and cheese, plus a brew for just $6, every Monday (lunch & dinner).

And if you’re looking to try a new cold one, just ask Rob “BrewRu” Merrick for a recommendation—he makes the best beer pairings. I’m not a big fan of sours, but when Rob paired one with Cypress’ spicy cheddar chicharron served with hot vinegar, I couldn’t get enough.
