(Halloween) event recap: Krog Masquerade
Happy Halloween! Do you have a costume picked out yet or are
you banking on Pinterest having a last-minute suggestion for you? Yeah, I’m right
there with you.
Actually, I might just wear a mask! I wore this pretty blue
one to last week’s inaugural Krog Masquerade with a regular ole outfit and blended
right in with all the elaborate costumes.

If you’re thinking, “Why did you go to the Krog Masquerade?
Wasn’t that thing being protested?” Keep reading. You’re kind of right, but you'e also wrong.
Yes, there was a bit of a social media freak out. Several
street artists who had tagged the tunnel decided to whitewash it in protest two
days before the event. But the beauty of the Krog Street tunnel is that the art
inside is always evolving, so it was no surprise that it was re-tagged almost
immediately.
The party turned out to be amazing (as if you would expect
anything less)! The setting was definitely the most unique I’ve ever seen.
Parts of the tunnel were beautifully draped and others exposed, showing off the
new artwork.

Multiple bars lined the length of the tunnel; a themed marching
band and nearly naked performance artists entertained the crowd throughout the night.
Truly, it was epic!
