Fave Five: Atlanta fall happenings
In case you haven’t heard,
#fallishere. Finally!
Yes, I admit — when temperatures fall, I can turn into that basic chick who loves all the things fall: Scarves, boots, soups, patio dining weather, and friendly gatherings. Except for pumpkin spice lattes. I can’t bring myself to order anything pumpkin spice flavored (see #waronpumpkinspice).

Anyway, back to friendly gatherings: There are
a lot of them in Atlanta this fall. Check out some of my favorites and let me know if I might see you at one of them in the next month or so!
9/30: The Global Party at STK
Right on the heels of breast cancer awareness month, STK is holding a fundraiser benefiting breast cancer research. In true STK fashion, the restaurant will feature complimentary strawberry cobbler cocktails, rose wine and small bites. So drink, dance, and donate, starting at 6 p.m.
10/03: Atlanta Cheese Festival
There are virtually no circumstances under which I would turn down cheese. And if the circumstances include stuffing myself with various types of cheese, paired with wine and dessert, with the Atlanta Botanical Gardens as my backdrop, I definitely can’t resist. Tickets start at $35.
10/03: Cirque du Soleil Amaluna
A Cirque show always leaves me in awe of what the human body is capable of, so I try not to miss the touring ones that come through Atlanta. Taking place under the big top in Atlantic Station, Amaluna runs through November; tickets start at $35.
10/04: Great Miller Lite Chili & BBQ Cook-Off
If you're a fan of mouthwatering barbecue, chili, and live music, this event is a must! Make your way over to the Georgia International Horse Park and watch pit masters compete for $10,000 while Kristian Bush from Sugarland serenades you. Tickets start at $10 and all proceeds go to Camp Twin Lakes.

10/24: Taste of Atlanta
One of my very favorite foodie events in the city! You get to walk around midtown’s Tech Square, enjoying the beautiful October weather (donning boots and a scarf, of course), sampling bites of deliciousness from some of the city’s most renowned restaurants. Tickets start at $25.
